Air conditioning and refrigeration businesses earn much of their money servicing the same units again and again. That makes two features non-negotiable, recurring jobs and a record of each customer's equipment, and two of the best-known tradie apps don't list the second at all.
Why HVAC businesses get a different answer
Asset records narrow the field
ServiceM8 adds asset management on Growing, Ascora adds equipment management on Elite, and Fieldmagic is built around asset inspections. Recurring work favours flat pricing
Service rounds mean many short visits. ServiceM8 counts each new job, so a business doing 80 services a week needs Premium at $149 inc GST, still far below paying per user for a crew of ten. (ServiceM8 pricing, checked )
The bigger platforms
simPRO includes asset maintenance in its base plan and sells a Maintenance Planner for scheduling preventive work as an add-on; it quotes after a demo. Fieldmagic's Professional plan includes recurring service plans and stock for $349 ex GST with five users. (simPRO pricing, checked )
