Why it exists
Job management software is sold to tradies in ways that make it hard to compare. Some apps charge for each person, some for the number of jobs you book, one in US dollars; some print prices with GST and some without; and no maker shows a rival’s price next to its own. Working out what an app will cost your crew means reading 8 price lists and doing the sums.
Tradie Pick does those sums. It holds the published Australian prices of 8 job management apps, 5 of them with full price lists, and prices them for the crew size and jobs a week you tap in. The true hourly rate checker then shows how much admin time an app has to save to pay for itself.
How it makes money
No company pays Tradie Pick anything today, so it earns nothing from the links on it yet.
We have applied to ServiceM8's referral programme. If it approves us, it will pay a commission when a reader signs up through our link, at no cost to the reader, and the note beside that link will say so.
There is no advertising on the site, and no company can pay to be listed, to rank higher, or to be reviewed.
How it ranks
Apps are ordered by the monthly cost, before GST, of their cheapest published plan that covers your crew, your jobs a week and the must-haves you tick. An app that publishes no price comes after the priced ones, with the reason stated, rather than being guessed at. Whether a maker pays us is never read by the code that does the ordering.
When the figures were checked
Every figure on Tradie Pick sits beside a link to its source and the date we checked it. The figures were last checked in full on , and each page shows its own updated date.
Each price is stored with the address of the maker’s own pricing page and the words that page used, so any figure can be rechecked line by line. Where a page leaves something unclear, such as whether a price includes GST, we say how we settled it, and anything we couldn’t confirm stays off the site.
Found a mistake?
Email hello@tradiepick.com.au with the page's address and what you think is wrong. A link to the provider's own page, a screenshot of a bill or a quote helps us check it quickly.
We check the claim against the primary source. If we got it wrong, we fix the page and move its updated date. If the provider has changed its terms, we update every page that quotes them.
We don't change a ranking or a verdict because a company asks us to; we change it when the facts behind it change.
